Operator
Canada Grants is operated by Canada Tech Council, a federal non-profit organization. Canada Grants provides public funding research, funding-intelligence tools and related advisory services. It is not a government department, agency, Crown corporation or program administrator.
Information we collect
We may collect information submitted directly through the website or research workspace, including name, work email address, organization, telephone number, province or territory, project information, funding interests and enquiry messages. Authenticated research features may also process organization and project profile information that a user chooses to provide.
How information is used
Information may be used to operate and secure the platform, administer user access, respond to enquiries, provide requested research or advisory services, maintain platform functionality and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Public forms are not intended for passwords, banking credentials, tax identifiers or other sensitive personal information.
Public program and research data
The funding database contains information obtained from public government and program-administrator sources. Public program information is maintained separately from private user-submitted information. Source references, dates and research metadata may be retained to support provenance, data quality and program verification.
Service providers
Canada Tech Council may use hosting, email, analytics, security and other technology service providers to operate Canada Grants. Information may be processed by those providers where reasonably necessary for the applicable service, subject to relevant contractual, security and privacy requirements.
Retention and security
Administrative and technical safeguards are applied having regard to the nature of the information processed and the services provided. No internet-based system can provide an absolute guarantee of security. Information is retained for the period reasonably required for the applicable purpose, operational requirements or applicable law.
Access, correction and deletion
Requests concerning access, correction or deletion of personal information may be submitted where applicable. Certain records may need to be retained for legal, security, audit or operational purposes.
