Canada Grants is operated by Canada Tech Council, a federal non-profit organization. Canada Grants is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Government of Canada, a provincial or territorial government, a Crown corporation or a program administrator unless expressly stated.
Program information and eligibility
Program information is provided for preliminary research and may change after publication. The applicable administering organization determines current intake status, applicant eligibility, eligible costs, deadlines, stacking provisions, award amounts and final funding decisions. Material information should be confirmed with the applicable official source before an application, expenditure commitment or funding decision.
No professional advice
Information provided through Canada Grants does not constitute legal, tax, accounting, investment or other regulated professional advice. Appropriate professional advice should be obtained where a decision involves tax treatment, legal obligations, financial reporting, contractual commitments or regulated professional services.
Accounts and acceptable use
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for activity performed through their accounts. Users may not disrupt the service, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, use automated access at abusive volumes, unlawfully reproduce protected materials or otherwise use the platform contrary to applicable law.
Open government data and licensing
Portions of the Canada Grants funding catalogue incorporate information from the Business Benefits Finder dataset published by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. That dataset is identified by the Government of Canada as available under the Open Government Licence – Canada.

The Open Government Licence permits lawful reuse of licensed information subject to its terms, including source acknowledgement. It does not grant rights in government names, crests, logos or other official symbols and does not authorize a user to suggest official status, sponsorship or endorsement. Other government, program-administrator and third-party information presented through Canada Grants may be subject to separate terms, notices or intellectual-property rights.
Canada Grants platform and intellectual property
Except for information used under applicable open-data licences or other third-party rights, Canada Tech Council owns or licenses the Canada Grants platform design, software, branding, normalized data structures, taxonomies, research organization, original analysis and other proprietary materials. Government and third-party program information remains subject to the rights and licences of the applicable source.
Availability and changes
The platform, datasets and individual records may be revised, unavailable or incomplete from time to time. Canada Grants may update features, datasets, access controls and these Terms as operational, legal or research requirements change.
Limitation of responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Canada Tech Council and Canada Grants are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on outdated or incomplete program information, unsuccessful applications, program changes or decisions made by funding administrators.
